I don't think Ryan lurks here, so I'll confirm that the brewery is 100% staying open.

Just another example of the Lafayette area not supporting local, same at with the Cajuns. Price is on par with the BBQ restaurants I frequent when working in Oklahoma. I'll definitely miss the Whole Hog. There's no better value for a family.

Terrible location. Always wanted to go hit it up. That's just me.

Speaking of restaurants, when is Big Shane opening up the Red Zone? Anybody know

It's kind of hard to support local when there are so many restaurants in the area. It's overwhelming. I am not much for going out to eat. I am more of an eat to live type than a live to eat person.

Darn, they did a good job. Good food.

The Lafayette area is saturated with a lot of great restaurants. Unfortunately, with food costs rising, the cost of a meal is also rising. Consumers are feeling the pinch, higher prices for goods and services are leaving consumers with less disposable income for a night out at a restaurant. If you follow local news, you'll notice several restaurants have closed citing the economy and not being financially viable.

Sad to hear. Really liked the vibe of the bar and courtyard. Wonder if they will try a different concept?
