If you slide, the ball is spotted where you start the slide. Diving forward as opposed to sliding can make a 4-5 yard difference. He was out there trying to win us a game where we had to scrap and claw for every yard.

Softball is the worst. Balls are called strikes and strikes are called balls. Not to mention the ridiculous crow hop that used to be selectively enforced. But hey, it gives middle school girls and their parents something to do so I guess some will enjoy it. I am neither so its a hard pass for me.
