Thread: Transferring tickets

  1. #1

    UL Football Transferring tickets

Need some help trying to figure this out. I transferred a ticket "By text, not email" to someone and it said they needed to enter an email address. Do they have to sign up for Paciolan account before they can accept the ticket? Or should I just try and send it through their email? Thanks for the help.

I believe they need to sign up for a Pacolian account either way.

You can also just text a screenshot of the QR code. It will work that way

Do they need an ID as well?

I did the screenshot thing last night and was told it worked. I wasn't there to confirm this, just what I was told.

I've never tried to transfer by text. I have transferred by email. If I remember right, the person I transferred the tickets to didnt have a Paciolan account. BUT, they were prompted to create an account so they could receive the tickets and "accept" them.

Yes, you can do it that way for sure. I tried the screenshot and sent it by text. As long as the scanner can read the ticket code, I don't see the problem doing it that way.

Most digital tickets are no longer just barcodes. They are encrypted live QR codes. This is to help prevent fraud.

When our mobile ticketing was rolled out, we were specifically told that screenshot would not work. Now with that said, I have not tried to use a screenshot or know anyone that has either.
