Lots of fun talk about going for field goals being the problem, and sometimes it can be.

But in this game, those field goals would have been more than enough if not for the field goal that wasn't attempted.

If you want rational discussion about the game, engage in that discussion. Stop being so emotional because some people aren’t pleased with what they saw last night. Be the change you want to see. For all the talk about "a bad half".....So no one else thought us lollygaggin' and wasting clock so damn much in the 2nd half wasn't a problem? Zero sense of urgency until it was too late. Even though we got to position, only to have bone headed play calls to end it. From lining up in illegal formation on the most important play, to running the same play back to back. Did we have some better success in the 2nd half? Yes. But to say we only played/coached one bad half isn't true.

Should have zero effect on any Cajuns fan right now. We should have progressed beyond that as a program.

Bingo. The first half was disappointing. We slept walked through it. My frustration is from the fans that constantly degrade coaches and to a lesser degree players when things don’t work out as planned. As fans, we want every play to be successful. That isn’t reality. There are coaches on both sides. Both can’t be successful simultaneously. There are players playing on both sides, both can’t be successful simultaneously. When people criticize everything that doesn’t work, they clearly have never coached or played at any sort of competitive level, because the comments assume the other side isn’t capable, and the only way something goes sideways is by our ineptitude. That’s what annoys me. The other coaching staff is also getting paid. The other team is also playing for something. Sometimes they have good game plans and make good plays. This team is better than we all hoped preseason. Des has pushed all the right button this year when you view from a macro lens.

Some of you are insufferable. I stopped posting/viewing here after almost 20 years on this board because of the whiny little _____es on here that complain about everything. 8-2. We had a tough first half. 8-2. When did Cajuns fans turn into tiger fans? Shut the ____ up and enjoy the ride. Stop ruining everything for everyone because you live for misery.
