Great thread with great points from all sides keep up fantastic banter. I agree with about 20 percent. I guess losses aren't agreeable with me.
I cant speak to why the defense wasn't ready in the first half but I noticed a few games this year where the defensive coordinator made great adjustments at half time. This game was probably his best second half correction.
Good morning! I have officially dumped the game into my rear view mirror. I’m done feeling sorry for myself and making everyone around me miserable! It’s time to turn the page.
With all due respect regarding the volume of the speakers, there are no official seats located on the hill. I know kids enjoy being there, but sitting or standing there is an "option" that some choose. I do think that the volume could be lowered on most occasions, but if everyone sat in their assigned seats, it probably wouldn't sound as loud as being right under the speakers on the hill.
Not trying to be a dick, but just pointing out a fact.
Not sure if you’re scoffing at the fact that it took our defense forever to show up for the game or that they actually did it quicker than 5 series. First 3 TDs. Then we fumble the ball to them at our own 48. Force a punt. We go 3 and out. They start at their 34. Force a punt. We throw a pick. They start at their 47. FG. No points after that.
The entire team didn’t show up prepared to win a football game. Coaches included. Fs all around for the 1Q. The defense rebounded in enough time to where if our offense and Des could’ve pulled their heads out of their backsides sooner we could have recovered. I think most of us would have taken 24 points allowed coming in to that game.
I keep seeing that this was a tale of two halves, and I’m not sure what game those people were watching. Our offense didn’t score a TD until 8 minutes left in the 4Q, despite having USA gift us the ball at their own 21 in the 3Q.
Flush it and move on sure, but now we are down our starting QB and our o-line hasn’t shown yet they can establish a consistent running game. I’m hopeful but not as optimistic as others here.
We have to have the loudest sound system in the country. If we watch on TV, there are many times where the sound system is so loud, you can barely hear the commentators. Often, it appears to get louder in the 3rd and 4th quarter.
PA operator is definitely trying to take the place of crowd noise. I'm very curious to measure the decibel level in the stadium. Yesterday, I was looking at various apps to try this. Dont know how well they work but I plan on trying some out for the game this Sat.
I didnt realize we were watching a football game at a library.
If the "people" would make some noise maybe they wouldnt have to pipe in music. We can go about this both ways lol
