So we would be chosen first, then.

I’m in for the PAC. It sucks for me being on the east coast and having games not so far from me, but this is NOT a lateral move, especially in basketball. Anyone who complains about basketball should be front of the line for this.

We would be on the road to Ruston in a hurry. That was the beginning of their demise. Weren’t they in the WAC with Hawaii at on point? That’ll run you broke.

I’m a no. Slight gain in football and basketball maybe. Would they even have baseball and softball. Oregon state has good baseball but who else??

We can reach all our football goals from the belt.

Slight gain in basketball? ROFLMAO Being in the same conference with Gonzaga, SDSU, Boise and two former PAC 12 schools is light years ahead of the SBC.

I’m not talking about the conference prestige I’m talking about our program singularly.

Would our program get better in the PAC or would we be the ULM of the pac.

Agreed this conference would have 2-3 teams make tournament each year

If we really cared about basketball now, Marlin would not still be our coach. I'll believe they're serious about the program when they dump him. But they won't. He'll be here dragging down the program like an albatross around our necks till he decides to retire.

I don’t believe there is any real smoke to these rumors. If the money is there to not only offset the travel cost, but improve our budget, I say it’s worth it. It would without a doubt improve the perceived brand of Louisiana nationally.

    Agree 100%
But IF it is true, the money is the #1 reason.

If you jump to the PAC it’s a temporary move. With the goal to be attractive enough to the Big12 by growing the athletic budget and fan support.

You guys really believe that we have people in place within the university that would ever have the vision to believe it would be possible?

I mean half of this board doesn’t even realize the CFP was a real shot until we hit 8-1. Never minds that we are one of about 10 G5 programs that have a realistic shot to ever get in to the CFP.
