I’m all good with solar farms in places like New Mexico, Arizona and West TX. I can’t fathom government contributing dollars for solar farms to take over prime food crop growing acreage like in St Landry and Acadia Parish, amongst others. WTF are we doing?

This is a manufacturing plant not a solar farm.

Where is the Blanco center? Is it named after the Governor like many buildings on campus or the ex VP of student affairs?

I’m just giving out my frustration with seeing solar farms currently taking over sweet potato and rice fields. Can’t blame the landowner for agreeing to the lease if it pays him/her/them much more than crop production, but I don’t have to like it.

Maybe use some of the acreage now devoted to sugarcane. It would increase solar production while decreasing the amount we subsidize sugar.
