Its about marketing you realize a company spends the majority on marketing there product and creating awareness! First thing we have to do is showing up to the game. The second thing we have to do is keep them coming back!
Thats one game! Its hard to create that atmosphere when you tried so hard to get rid of organic tailgating and we do it for one game and its like no one showed up!
It took time to dwindle our fanbase it didnt happen overnight. Just like getting the fanbase back and keep them coming back it is not going to happen in one night it will have to happen over a period of time.
It took years for this to happen!! Think one night is going to solve all those issues?
. . . 9221 is just suggesting a little promotion . . .
I was riding my bike around Lafayette as I normally do each Saturday morning, and what struck me was the amount of traffic EVERYWHERE.
If we could catch the attention of 1/10th of those folks, I believe that it would be plus for attendance.
Why not post signs at every intersection announcing the game with $10 walk-up tickets for GA and the band playing for the tailgate that day? I gotta think simple efforts like that would help.
No I don't think one night will change things. But if they keep doing what they did yesterday for every game then yeah I think it will change eventually. I just think they have done a better job this year than they have in years past. Maybe they are starting to listen to the fan base a little.
