For one thing on campus, you could at least pretend like you have a game this weekend. I was there multiple times this week. Nothing. For another, you can’t promote well for one game per season and expect that to fix all your problems. Finally, when the people give you a chance, you cannot wet the bed (the Tulane game). This isn’t about performing for one week and saying, “well…we did all we could.” It’s doing the whole thing well consistently.
FWIW I thought the in stadium atmosphere has made some improvements this year. More variety in the music picks. The skydiving was electric last night. Barefoot girl gave the crowd its only life in the first half with the made field goal. Get rid of Dollar General Gerald Greunig and we could be on to something.
See you the type of fan that won't be happy no matter what we do. The Concessions prices aren't that bad. Good luck finding cheaper options across all of college football. They actually did a good job with the game atmosphere this time around idk what more you need. I mean I spent $120 between tickets and food and drinks and the drinks were mostly beer. That's not bad. BTW if you have kids get the young ragin cajuns pass. It's worth the $45 to get into every event and also check out the free water the have posted up throughout the stadium. They have options to be cheap
My daughter who pretty much grew up at Cajun Field every Saturday who is now a UL student had no clue there was a game yesterday at home.
She is at the age now where she is pretty much living her own life and my house is just room and board for her. School, work, friends. I've intentionally laid low this season to see her and the student engagement. My small sample size is in line with pretty much everyone is saying as well.
Nobody on this board can figure out from week to week what the actual attendance will be. Acadiana just doesn't care.
