I’ve said before the best case for Louisiana is to beat JMU in the SBC CCG. Problem is GS is in the drivers seat.

I can’t exactly remember, but being rank feeds into some metric regarding some type of distribution over a period of time. Can’t remember the exact details.

So ending the season ranked helps up get a larger payout. Making the CFP I would assume would give us a much larger payout.

We really need to sustain this sort of success.

Louisiana needs to step up their non conference scheduling. I like what teams like Tulane and UNLV have done.

I mean...the schedule for this season wasn't really bad at all. Sure, we had start up Kennesaw, but the other non-conference games (aside from Grambling) included top-tier in the G5 Tulane and was supposed to include Michigan State. They backed out, we got Wake, and we won.

This is just my non-professional opinion, but I think we should continue to try to have our non-conference schedule include one of the top tier G5 programs in results or perception (Tulane, Boise, military academy, etc.) and a winnable P4. Last year was a winnable P4 in Minnesota. So was Iowa State and Texas in 2020 & 2021.
