Tickets The Prodigal Son Returns to Acadiana to Make Acadiana news Great Again

Fellow Ragin Pagers, I have some great news for all of you.

Several years ago, maybe close to 8 years ago, one of our fellow RPers left Louisiana. He worked in media and kept peddling fake news to his listeners and viewers, so Louisiana had no choice but to throw him out and send him on his way. Banished to Kansas.

But as we've seen in recent years, local Acadiana news media has taken a nosedive. It has been a dark and low time for all of us.

Thankfully, this individual, who posts here as "NathanCPike", has been receiving mentorship from RP legend Zeebart, and the transformation has been nothing but miraculous.

NathanCPike is returning to Acadiana, KATC specifically, with renewed purpose. He has atoned for his sins. Very soon, he will begin his MAGA tour. Making Acadiana (news) Great Again! He will be their new Assistant News Director.

We should all celebrate. Let's kill the fattened calf, gather a bunch of booze, and celebrate. NathanCPike will soon be here to Make Acadiana news Great Again!

Some days I wish I had gone into broadcasting like I originally wanted to when I got to UL in 2001.

Now I just talk _____ on the internet without a camera pointed at me.

    !
I'm curious how the new "alternative" news format is working for KATC.
Anyone know how this has affected their share of local viewers since the change?

    Good or bad overall?

Wishing Mr. Pike all the best. Great guy who has a big challenge ahead of him. I'm sure he loves Lafayette dearly, but he will miss the Kansas City BBQ too. Last time I was in Kansas City he gave me some great food and bar ideas.
