Whole body ! Thats why i was a while back to set up a go fund me, but then i wouldnt be able to do it.
Need someone with some clout on this board to really set it up and find someone willing to do it!
University couldnt stop it what they would tell you to go home! Be pretty sad on there part.
http://www.mascotmakers.com is the website they have what they made in the past on there website
7500 was a rough estimate sure you would need 10k
I love what you’re doing. And doing it for free. Making effort that is being done as a fan. The university has work being done for them and they balk? Jesus Christ. Love what Cory is doing. I’ll put money to the go fund me.
i was thinking Turbine or Cory or any other moderator off this website, because he runs this website and probably could really get it done, but i hate to throw names out there because i hate to put an obligation out there when he already does so much!
I just think it would have to be a grassroots effort to get this done obviously administration doesnt want any part of it!
Plus its a gofundme someone needs to be an upstanding and moral person with high integrity that people trust who could really get this done.
I almost feel like it is Cory fight because he came up with all this stuff so i dont want to offer to suggest to steal someones idea or whatever.
I actually started a gofundme 10 months ago. Please do not donate!! I put it off but we are discussing it right now, i rather have cory approval or someone else within this Ragin Cajun Community to really talk to or get this done!! I am gonna post the link for yall to look at it. I started and never acted on it.

Its not my baby so i dont want to take someone else’s idea and run with it! This what needs to be done to actually get this done!!
I am a go go go and dont think bout the logistics i say lets just start but i know we need communication within the fan and this community.
I would want it design to be exactly like my avatar lol that thing would be legit
Thank you so much for sharing that memory with us. All Louisiana french dialects are important to work. I hate hearing the label "dying language" when that language has been a part of our state's identity for hundreds of years.
Hopefully what I'm doing in my work will inspire more creatives to explore how we can turn the something that is considered "dying" to having a renaissance.
Yeah, the sad thing is it's only through my and others' grandparents that are all passing away. I remember both of my grandparents spoke it; when they were arguing, they would speak Cajun French because none of the grandkids could understand what they were saying. They would substitute English words for ones they didn't know, like "television."
The bad thing is, they try to bring it back through the schools, but to use it fluently, you need to use it daily, and that's not going to happen.
In Quebec, they take great pride in their culture and their language. It’s ingrained in their society, and they take great pride in it—not like down here. We do, but we've been so Americanized.
That's one thing that's missing from this university. Our job for football games, any sporting events, or just in general needs to be to promote what little we have left! This should be the job of the university. We are the Ragin' Cajuns; it's time to start acting like it. Its that little bit we have left that we want to promote our area and region because we take such pride in it. It's partly what makes us unique, and we want to do something unique compared to other places.
If any of you listened to the latest Ragin Review Twitter space, you heard me say what my next courses of action are. I do not believe the university will budge on Albineaux, or any spirit leader for that matter, anytime soon. They're scared investors. But fortunately I'm a filmmaker (and like all filmmakers), most of my job is creating a pitch that is so good, scared investigators have no choice but to buy into the project. I'm approaching Al like I would approach any large scale production.
Like I said earlier, I think it is important to have a "script" first. My next online presentation is pretty much an outline on how Albineaux will be an entertainer. That "script" will be the guiding document to whoever puts on the suit. Ideally, we can partner with a current student, or students, to put on the mantle. They'll have way more access than any alum fan, BUT at the beginning phases it may need to be a combination of both student and non-student.
After the release of the script comes the fundraiser. I've been doing research and there are quite a few mascot making companies actually. I'm going to present this fundraiser like I would present one of my films for crowdfunding (with extensive research, details of where the money is going, and what the projected return on investment is). This will truly be an all hands on deck moment for the fanbase.
I'm already thinking of how to get outside help for this part as well. When the crowd funding is launched, I want to take the campaign to CFB Reddit. Both Albineaux posts on the website got a lot of traction; and that was without the full context. From Reddit, I may be able to connect with former college mascots on the best practices for our spirit leader. We may even have non-UL fans want to chip into this special project.
Thinking even more outside the box, should the funding go well, I might approach a documentarian to film our fight for a spirit leader. It's not everyday a 125 year old university gets a new spirit leader, especially one that is coming from the fanbase. A pseudo sports doc could really capture this moment we're in, rally all of our supporters, and put our university on a national spotlight (making it harder for them to run from this). The director of the Mondo Duplansis doc is still around. Maybe we can see if he would be interested.
Once the suit is created, it'll be just about acting out the script and getting the community INVOLVED as much as possible. Then after that, the rest is history.
