Ragin Cajun CFP chances

Question because it’s still not clear to me. If Boise, army, Tulane….. lose and Louisiana is the highest rank g5 conference champ, will they get the 5th auto bid into the playoff or is there some way Washington state could get it like the graphic shows them as a g5.

In my opinion wash state can’t claim to be a conference champ of a p4 or g5 this season. So they can get one of the 7 at larger spots, that is it.

I bow to those with more knowledge, but I don't think the PAC is viewed as a conference this year.

Yes, Louisiana would be a shoe in for the playoffs assuming they win the SBC Championship at 12-1.

Wazzu is not an Automatic Qualifier being they do not have 8+ members in the current PAC.

The reason some computer determined that we have a better chance than Tulane is because Tulane has Navy, Memphis, and then, if they beat Navy and Memphis, Army. The computer says they’re more likely to lose at least one, and we’re more likely to win out.

I think if Tulane does beat Navy, Memphis and Army (assuming Army is undefeated at the time) that they will be ranked ahead of us.

Boise’s gotta lose the conference championship though. Go CSU!

According to the website, if the Cajuns win out, including the championship, there is a 29% chance of making the playoffs... six week ago, who would have imagined we would be having this kind of conversation

If friggin Liberty can make it into the NY6 last year (I know lots of dominoes fell

First of all, there are many goals, some of which must be reached to achieve the final goal. Posters here only recognized that we were bowl eligible at game 7. Pretty frickin impressive and virtually a requirement if you are going to compete in the CFP. You don’t ordinarily have soft skin, but you did there and it’s so soft on thIs subject that you wash, rinse and repeat every time you get a chance. You are correct about our goal, totally incorrect about the the importance of reaching the numbers to be bowl eligible in 7 games.

Tulane plays Navy this week then Memphis. There's a good possibility they lose one of those games. That would drop them out.

Army will lose to Notre Dame. They'll drop out.

if they win their championship, I don’t think a loss to Notre Dame would drop them below Louisiana.
