Tulane plays Navy this week then Memphis. There's a good possibility they lose one of those games. That would drop them out.

Army will lose to Notre Dame. They'll drop out.

Unfortunately, I don’t see Tulane losing any more games.

GS still has to play the Covid Chickens in Conway. Still the hardest to figure out is James Madison losing to the Hoax.

I don't see Army finishing with only one loss. They are undefeated at the moment (9-0), but their schedule has been very week. Not counting their first opponent FCS Lehigh, their opponents are a combined 24-49, with only ECU and N. Texas having winning records (both are 5-4). To be fair, they have crushed most of their opposition, their average margin of victory against FBS opponents is 23.6. But again, roughly half their opponents are 2-7 on the year and everyone is beating those teams by three touchdowns or more. So I'm not sure what that means except that they have not really been tested yet.

Hey, maybe they are the national champs come January, I'd love that, but I see them losing somewhere between now and the playoffs starting. They still have to play Notre Dame
(8-1), UTSA (4-5), then will probably be in the AAC championship game against Tulane (8-2) on Dec. 6 and then (on Dec. 14) they play a conference game against Navy (7-1). Not sure how that works out if Army defeats Tulane for the AAC championship (which would knock Tulane out of our way), then if Army loses to Navy a week later that would drop them in the final CFP polls.

IF, IF, IF the Cajuns win out and go 12-1 and if Army loses to Notre Dame and Navy we could finish ahead of a 11-2 Army team who wins the AAC championship game on Dec. 6 then loses to Navy on Dec. 14, slips in the polls, and the Cajuns move ahead of them.

Of course, none of this takes in account Boise St.

Army is fools gold. Tulane will beat them by 21+. The best chance for Tulane to lose a third game was Louisiana and North Texas. I honestly thought NT was going to do it heading into that weekend. Fact is, we wet the bed.

I was told the army navy game will not be relevant in the cfp. The brackets will be determined before that game. I know, the greatest game historically in college football has no point anymore. Wtf

It looks like that is the case. Leave it to college football to do something this stupid. CFP brackets will be announced on Dec. 8 then the first found of games will be Dec. 20. So all teams will have a week off before the start of the playoffs...except. Assuming Boise St. does not win the MAC, if Army wins the AAC championship on Dec. 7, then plays Navy on Dec. 14, then starts the playoffs on Dec 20 or 21. In this scenario all teams would have a week off before the playoffs, all that is except one. What? And why the hell are we picking CFP seeds and not all of the regular season games have even been played?
