The quest to play better never ends.
With each win, UL quarterback Ben Wooldridge says the team has a higher ceiling to reach. As of late, dropped passes and penalties have been issues for the Ragin' Cajuns.

In the last three years Louisiana has only won one other game scoring as few as 23 points.
We are a poor tackling team but we don’t turn the ball over on offense and don’t give up big plays. Leads to a pretty decent defense. Like said earlier, if we start tackling better we could be dominate
What really baffles me is that by college, I am ASSUMING that some of these players did not get/weren’t taught how to tackle properly in pop warner and then HS ball.
Regarding some of these players tackling skills I have seen on D back in the day would have resulted in LOTS of post practice misery for those not tackling properly -to the point that if we didn’t know how, we would have learnt it quickly to end those post practice
Wind sprints etc
I think part of the problem is that the defense as a whole is slow. They are having to sprint full speed to get to the edges and are having a hard time breaking down make the tackle.
Sometimes I see bad angles, but most of the time I see slow players that cannot get in position to met the player head on.
I think the WR drops and the OL false start penalties can be cleaned up, but I think the poor tacking is here to stay and will have to be addressed in recruiting.
Damn. So we’re slow and undersized on defense. Salgado must be a magician.
Quick minds make up for slow speed.
