How many years is Dez’s deal? I wonder when/if his name will come up in coaching searches.

it shouldn’t as he won’t go anywhere else . . . And what does that matter, coaches contracts are paid out in a lost every hire . ..

So. Is a playoff spot not considered NY6?

    Yes I think so now.

That’s why I said if he wins out he’s on pace to get 150k. If by some chance we make the playoff, which is out of our control, and he wins national coach of the year, he would get another 50k + 50k

Des is the only coach to be bowl eligible all three years.

(Rich Rodriguez-Jax St. 1.05 mil-22-9 but one of those years was still in FCS.)
This is an excellent apples vs apples overview. Well done!!!

I’ll be the first to admit - I wasn’t the biggest fan of this hire.

But I will gladly say now - that’s exactly why I’m not an athletic director.

Kudos to Coach Des for doing such a great job for our University.
