It was the actual run plays that were called which was the problem. We consistently get stuffed when we try to run the ball wide on the zone stretch.
We consistently maul people when we run out of the pistol between the tackles.
The passing game with the exception of a few plays was pretty good.
Yes, the first possession after half, Davis ran for 3 yrds and they then ran the naked boot not blocking Joshua Parker, one of the top sack leaders in the SBC this season. I'm certain he would say we ran it a few times before in the first half and had success. But situational play calling and personal is my question. You have to know where that guy is lined up.
Can’t complain about 1 sack and 3 tfl’s. They were top 25 in country in both.
Cajuns won 23-17 and are now 7-1. Can we please move on?
I believe some people think that any discussion or question of a coaches' decisions and schemes is dissent. And this should not even be discussed because he or she is winning. Some also say that no one should question a coach because they are not qualified, which is a simple argument to shut discussion down. They almost look at successful coaches like a Deity, a true fan should never question him or her.
I enjoy discussing it, especially with former coaches and players because you get other points of view and can learn things that you may not have noticed during the games. We've had these same discussions concerning Deggs, Marlin, Former Softball Coach and I can assure you it will be done with Coach Habetz eventually. Lord, that day will certainly be entertaining.
Not necessarily, if I'm understanding you correctly. Just because Napier didn't think he was a good enough play caller, doesn't mean he can't be a good head football coach. You don't have to be a good play caller to be a good coach. That's why there's a whole coaching staff.
