Good Lord, if we lose tomorrow night, I'm blaming everyone talking about bowls and being ranked before we even win the Division. LOL!!!!!

Assuming we dont get G5 playoff spot.....Is my logic correct?

Win SBC West = NO Bowl vs CUSA

2nd/3rd SBC West = Bowl vs Big 12 or Navy

Still need to win SBC and try to earn G5 playoff but we have the preferred order of who to play in Bowl in wrong order. CUSA is fine but it needs to be the last possible bowl option not 1st

    Sun Belt Bowl Ties, Affiliations
The top-ranked conference champion from the AAC, CUSA, MAC, Mountain West, and Sun Belt will be in the College Football Playoff.

The Sun Belt will get five bowl slots available to eligible teams.

ESPN owned and operated bowls get the first pick of Sun Belt teams, and it gets third and fourth picks. The New Orleans gets the second pick of the bunch, and the 68 Ventures has the fifth selection.

The Sun Belt is affiliated with these bowl slots.

    2. R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl vs CUSA
    5. 68 Ventures Bowl vs MAC

To be determined among the Group of Five conferences. The Sun Belt will get spots in at least three of these bowls with the conference's Nos. 1, 3, and 4 teams available to ESPN O&O bowls.

    - Boca Raton Bowl vs Group of Five
    - Camellia Bowl vs C-USA or MAC
    - Cure Bowl vs Group of Five
    - Frisco Bowl vs Group of Five
    - Myrtle Beach Bowl vs AAC or MAC

The Sun Belt has an affiliation to fill-in if needed.

Just hope it is one of the bowls vs. Group of Five and it appears ESPN can pick that matchup.

Not sure how we could get matched up vs. a P4 opponent without having a tie in with a P4 in the SBC bowl tie ins.
SBC bowl tie ins remain some of the worst it appears with none matched up against P4. Time to re negotiate these.

True we do not have a tie in with a p4 but every year the belt seems to have teams that fill spots not filled by p4 teams in their bowl tie ins.

Hope that is the case, because we definitely can't get one to come to Lafayette or we just are not trying.
Next best thing is to play one in a bowl game on a neutral field.

Just keep winning! Keep our brand on the forefront. We need to start winning with style. In order to do that the defense has to start tackling better.
