Habetz has no issues with the three-run home run. She just plans to make sure her team can manufacture runs when the big bombs don’t come.

“I’m going to be really big on execution,” Habetz said. “We had a lot of bunts, a lot of slaps-and-runs and stealing — making things happen — and they did a really good job of that. I was really pleased with that because again, we haven’t really gotten a lot of repetition in the fall. I really liked the execution.”

These girls have worked very hard and they are having success. The three Fall Ball games that were played last week were all good games. The team is now 3-0. Next game is on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. Five dollars gets you a lot of entertainment. Put Nov. 6 on your calendar, we play McNeese here at 6 p.m. Tickets are online for $10 each. The softball program needs the money to continue the great tradition of Ragin Cajun Softball. Nov. 6 is the last Fall Ball game. Help the team out and do yourself a favor!
