Let's hope we start a pipeline with that area. My son played fall ball with 2 others from Live Oak. We went 1-3 against the top squad in the state that's loaded with commits. First game they threw Bryce Wilson (UL commit) and he shut down our whole line up. Second game we started a senior from Brother Martin then our reliever was a freshman from Live Oak that shut them down for the win.

Our program is at a point where kids can come here and have a very successful career and get a similar opportunity to make it at the next level.
No doubt one can argue that being top talent in the SEC has huge advantages. I'm just saying, that kids now dont necessarily have to sell out to the SEC.

With the MLB farm system they find plenty of kids who are still in high school. It doesn't matter where you are. IF you have the skill set MLB will find you.

Kids having an opportunity at the next level has never been an issue for us. Heck we put our first player in the MLB in 1946.

Agreed! I'm just saying that we have a track record over the past 5 years or so where we are attracting more scouts and higher draft picks. That helps attract kids to our program knowing they dont have to be at a SEC school to be noticed or given a shot.

You always here about stories that scouts show up for 1 player and they see a standout that is not even on their radar.
