The shades ain't right. Dude needs to get some ol' Ricky Henderson oaks
He is now the man. And that was the reason I wrote that he is. For the haters sakes, the only reason I brought it up is because it's so, not to bring attention to myself. He deserves every accolade he gets this year. He has done everything he possibly can to turn himself from good high school coach to really good college coach. And if he keeps doing whatever it is he's doing now, he will become a great college coach.
And if it's the beard, I hope he's here in twenty years looking like he could cover for ZZ Top, or Moses coming down the mountain. I just happen to think it's not so much the beard & more what's in between the ear holes that's working for him. Big Ups to Mike.
I love mikes press conferences. Of course I don’t watch a lot of others, but he seems to talk a lot more football than just coach speak. He gets into schemes and reason things did or didn’t work in previous games. The guy definitely has knowledge of the game. And I’ll say it, he’s the best offensive play caller I’ve seen at UL since I’ve been a fan(mid 90’s)
Mike knows the game and learns from every new scenario and wrinkle thrown at him.
My worry his first two years was how fast he could think on his feet.
No worries, his mind is ahead of the game right now .
….. the QB club is the place for info….. 30 years ago and with a non grey beard…. I looked just like the Rep VP ….. wish I could post the photo!!!!!
Mike was this same guy when he was hired but people are impatient. He is getting better at his job just like everyone else does who excels in life. A lot of people don’t fully understand the situation he walked into that first year, something he never used as an excuse either.
Personally, I would love to see CMD our Bobby Bowden. When Bobby became the coach in '76, Florida State was nothing more than a McNeese. Well, maybe not that small, but was not a player in the NCAA football scene. In fact, his only losing season was his first, '76. For the next 33 years, he never had a losing season again, making them a team to be reckon with year in and year out.
Would love to look back in 35 years with CMD finally retiring and having maybe a National championship or 2 to look back on. I can dream, can't I?
