Thread: Terrance Carter - UL Tight End GOAT Discussion

  1. UL Football Terrance Carter - UL Tight End GOAT Discussion

While watching UL play Coastal this past weekend, I couldn't help but wonder if Terrance Carter could be the greatest UL tight end of all time after his career is over (assuming he stays all 4 years)

Ladarius Green (4 years): 149 receptions, 2201 yards, 22 TD
Neal Johnson (5 years): 101 receptions, 1196 yards, 11 TD
Terrance Carter (1.5 years): 57 receptions, 720 yards, 7 TD

He's still super young, but to me he is one of the most electric pash catchers i've seen in a while. Week after week it seems he's making huge plays.

Do y'all think he could eventually become the best TE in UL history?

Use of TE plays a big factor in this. Ladarius Green was more of a true TE due to his size. I think he could have been utilized more. In today's system, he would be the GOAT without a doubt.

    TC is electric.

Carter is a clone of Kelce

It is possible, Ladarius is still the man until someone takes him down, but TC is well on his way to being in that discussion.

Carter has a chance, still early. Green was an outstanding TE. Of course, if Carter keeps performing at a high level there is always the chance a big NIL deal could come calling from a P4.

I said this to someone on Saturday, but it will be a miracle to retain TC. He is an immediate mismatch with his size and his speed is deceptive. Unless we step up the NIL game, he’s going to get paid by someone else.

Worried about Bill Davis too, and maybe LL2

    Yes, forgot about that.

All it takes is a CFP appearance. Consistently being in position to make the CFP can help this program retain and attract players.

Some kids still want to win and see the field.

Man BG uses the hell out of their tight end.

Watched him in the Penn state game that they probably should have won. He is a beast.

In the past some were lambasted for suggesting during Live Game Talk that UL should use the Tight End more.

The dividends seem to be apparent.
