Only 4 INTs thru 7 games. That’s the very positive flip side of being leery to pull the trigger in certain circumstances.

Can't overstate the value of that statistic.

I was nervous about Big Ben following Tulane. Matter of fact, he's been playing through some injury. Now 6-1 and steadily creeping up in a very interesting race in the 5G (that's right). That game winner on Saturday was sharp. 6-1 ain't 7-0 but you can't satisfy everyone.

Now we open it up, wide open, turn down these critics and Win Out.

I don't know if the Sun Belt has named its Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Weekend yet. But if not...there has to be some serious consideration given to Ben Wooldridge on Offense for the way he led the Cajuns vs. one of the better teams in the conference.

Stats could have been even better without the dropped passes. T.Carter made up for his on the last drive. Others could have sustained drives and could have led to even more points.

He took a chance on the winning TD. Ordinarily Woolridge would have just scrambled and threw the football away to allow the punter to pinned the opponent deep. He scrambled and reversed field and threw the ball up with two defenders bracketing Carter. That was a big risk considering the coverage and broken route based upon the scramble.

Ben took a huge risk, it was more of a throw it up for grabs kind of throw and Carter deserves tremendous credit for coming down with it and scoring the TD. He essentially put CC away.
