    how happy Louisiana suitors would be when it is figured out that Louisiana is an academic first university who play sports and that winning in sports at Louisiana is lagniappe . . . and yes it’s ok to want to win and want the best for all sporting teams and events as long as we do not lose site of the academic goals, meanwhile . . .

    Most universities are like what you’re saying, but winning is very important for the formula in marketing the university. Enrollment for schools like Alabama and Colorado have shown tremendous recent increase due to the marketing of their football programs which leads to more revenue and opportunity cost through donors.
