Look I am not gaslighting anyone who still has it in for Dez. But I’m hoping for 10-2; and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna complain about 8-4.

I don't think anyone "has it in" for Des. I know I don't . Many of us were skeptical of the hire and the lack of a search to replace Napier when our program was at the highest level of any time in its existence. It seemed to be a lazy hire. We don't need to get into all of that now but it doesn't mean we aren't skeptical of the actual decision. Having said that, I think we all want him to be successful. We are 4-1 this year which is highly encouraging but we've been very inconsistent over the past couple of years with more talent. Of course we will wait to see how it plays out and cheer on the cajuns.

I agree with zephyr on this post. I certainly hope the Cajuns and Des continue with winning games and be able to bring our program back to some sort of national relevance. We all want the Cajuns to succeed, it's how we get there that brings disagreements.

I agree...Still 7 games to be played. Let's reserve judgement on coach Des till then.... However after the last two years Skepticism is warranted.

WF beat and beat up a pre season top 25 team in NC State. Wake is a pretty decent team

That preseason ranking was wrong. But hey, got to include the ACC in the list. Florida State is another ugly miss.

Cajuns were 5-3 last season, this site was giddy. Four games later, the beads were getting worked overtime praying for a win against ULM for a .500 regular season.

WF beat a NCST team that sucks bad as they do.

We’ll know more about the Cajuns after the next 3 games. 7-5 won’t make me giddy.

Nah. We could go 11-1 and run through the conference and some on here will just say the conference was weak this year, or we didn’t win by enough or whatever else they need to say to justify their predetermined position on Dez.

Fact is we beat a Power conference team, on the road, for only the third time since Alabama decided to let black guys on their team.

Then followed it up with the first win at USM in 31 damn years.
