Sun Belt play for the week gets underway tonight. TX State at Troy. Troy is a full 2 TD dog at home. I’m sure ESPN wasn’t counting on a 1-4 Troy team when they booked this one.

You're right. I was thinking about that last night. Similar to Des' first year and several Cajuns wearing gator gear.

If you dont want to fall off dramatically the move to make is probably hire an FCS coach and he could have brought some players with him to fill in those gaps.

Doubt it will happen but the public/fans really are going to have to be more patient with new coaches coming in when their coach leaves. Portal has changed the game so much on that end.

They'll need to be on their A+ game vs. Texas State, though. Because if our defense doesn't vastly improve, we'll probably need to score 40+ to win.

Troy is abysmal. It’s hard to believe they are that bad. At least we went 6-7 after Billy pillaged the roster. Props to Des I guess?

True. We will have our chances against TX State’s defense. Troy moved it all over them in the first half last night but turned it over twice, once at the Bobcats 1 yard line. If we avoid self inflicted wounds and settling for field goals, I expect it to be a battle.
