He asked you how much each ACC member gets $7M-$8M? You answered "$1.1 million per conference game." That implies each member is getting that per conference game. They are not, the most important number is the actual payout for each member.

Except for parents of current students, I think the fan base would more than support student fees for athletics.

Its currently prohibited in the State.

Hey thanks, I did it again.

I used 6 as my base, number of conference games.

    Its 8 not 6.

It actually comes out to where the Sunbelt pays $312,500 to every school per number of conference games.

AAC members get just under a million.

$300,000 is what Bustle used to get for money games.

Student athletic fees are not prohibited. The fee must go before a vote by the students. If passed it can be implemented, but my assumption is if it were to pass the university would reduce its direct support by the same amount.

If a student fee has to be voted these days on its as good as prohibited.

Prohibitive would have been a better word.

Can you imagine if tuition was voted on by the paying party?

They need to find a way to double their athletic budget before dreaming of moving up to FBS.

One of these groups of schools will be our forever home. Where do you want to be?
You make a very good point sir. And if I may add to your list Army & Navy though not from a budget standpoint. Everyone should be reminded how much national media attention and nationwide following our service academies bring, at least to football. The AAC is lucky to have both of them. UL would be lucky to be associated with Army & Navy even though both are geographically distant from Louisiana.

The SBC is probably in as good a shape as its ever been. UL has a lot to do with SBC building up over time. No matter, the AAC revenue ceiling remains higher than the SBC ceiling.
