The Abbeville Police Department is searching for someone who stole 1,100 gallons of diesel from a fuel tank and tractor located behind the Lafitte Shopping Center.
Over the weekend, someone emptied the diesel fuel tank that is located about 1/4 mile behind the shopping center. The tank was set back near the large hole that Glen Lege Construction dug for dirt for Lowe’s.
Workers from Glen Lege Constructon arrived Monday morning and noticed the top of pump was missing from the tank. It was then they noticed the diesel was also missing.
