    Default MBB Tip Off Celebration

Event described in the link attached above was extremely successful a year ago and outlook is bright to pass last year's funds raised total at the planned event on October 15. Note the site has changed to a student union ballroom this year. There are only a few tables which remain for purchase. If you want to attend, but a table is out of reach, individual tickets are available as well. Note, some folks have purchased a table but don't have a full compliment of guests. If you know anyone like that, they likely would be happy for you to join them. That would give you an opportunity to bid on some of the auction items. Many of the items shown in the document as needed to be obtained for auction are now in hand (both live and silent). They will take more of course if anyone wants to donate anything. I will try to get a more detailed list of auction items and share them in a followup post. The paragraph below elaborates more on last year's event. I can say everyone who attended enjoyed themselves and feedback (improvement suggestions) was used to plan this year's event.

Last year, 400 guests celebrated with players, coaches, former players, athletic officials, and university dignitaries. It was an event like no other, with players actively participating in the live auction!

This was another successful event with over 400 people once again in attendance. Attendees had energy throughout evening from the moment they were created by players wearing quality suits. I have learned that the gross figure raised was over 200 grand. I don't know the net figure but assume it will be high as event was held on campus which should have reduced expenses. Top live auction item sold was a trip to St. Louis for a baseball series between the Astros and Cardinals in April. I think that went for 10 grand. Other prizes which received some high bids were a trip to the Notre Dame vs Texas A&M football game next September including a tour, trip to a Florida Beach house, trip to a Tennesse cabin, club suites for a Pelicans game, and hunting trips. A group of fans were on a committee who organized this event. They should be congratulated for work well done. If you have the opportunity to attend this function next year, I recommend you take advantage of it. I guarantee you will enjoy the event.
