Fresh off of its thriller win over Wake Forest, Louisiana football is back on the road to kick off Sun Belt Conference play.

The Cajuns (3-1) will look to build off of their momentum after beating their first ACC opponent in program history, sneaking away with a 41-38 win over the Demon Deacons. For Week 6, they will travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, taking on a familiar foe in Southern Miss (1-3).

Yes the two ejected in the first half can play the entire game. This is one of the most ridiculous rules in all of football. They should treat it like an unsportsmanlike penalty. Two and you’re gone. If you wanna suspend them for the next game that is fair to me. But don’t penalize a kid more than one time for making one mistake. Also believe intent should be considered. When a receiver or runner lowers their head and they initiate the contact, how is that the defenders fault if they go helmet to helmet? There is a complete difference between making helmet to helmet contact and “spearing” someone by using the crown of the helmet. Sorry for the rant but I hate this rule even though I understand the “spirit” of it. Carry on.

I agree. It's one of many ridiculous college football rules. It should be a 15 yard penalty with no ejection if legitimate. Ejecting the player is way too harsh. Even more dumb is requiring a player to sit out one play if his helmet falls off.
