Its USM week

Great game yesterday, now its time to turn the page and concentrate on USM, They are coming off of a bye week and will be rested and the university is pushing 6 dollar tickets again to try and put some buts in the seats.

The fan base has already given up on this season and the team looks horrible, but they always play us tough and this is their superbowl this year.

The big question for me is how healthy will we be and how does the second half ejections affect the game plans.

I’m hoping the ejections won’t affect the game too much also hoping they can do like in the second game and not rest on their laurels and beat USM have a good chance of being 4 and 1 next week and being 1 and 0 in conference play.

On paper this should not be close. It’s southern Miss, so you know it’ll probably be close.

This team is different. No let down.

The consistency on offense is what has me feeling similar. A quarter of the way through the season and they have not slowed down. We’ve won running and throwing the ball. At times the last 2+ years you saw flashes, but the O had the ability to go flat. Didn’t really have an identity. We’ve seen who we are this year.

The defense can improve. The sacks will come. I think we’ll get some next week. USM has given up 8 of them.
