I know y’all keep saying WKU, but think about it?
LaTech would be considered a rival to every school in the West. Tech-ULM, Tech-Louisiana, Tech-USM, Tech-Ark. St. i mean scheduling would be great.
We would play Tech, ULM, USM, Ark. St., USA, and Troy every year that is a win and that is what everyone would want to see.
What makes it interesting is because we do hate them so much, so does ULM, and the rest!!
To make it a rivalry that will make the match more interesting, specially when it comes to every sport. I know we have this delusion of grandeur, but i want more regional rivals, and it is perfect for the teams in the west.
Dont let hate, and the delusion of grandeur cloud your judgement, i know we think we are better blah, blah, blah.
The facts remains the fan support and interest when it comes to sports would increase with them being in our conference
TX ST can't even beat a CUSA opponent - SHSU. boy they got pie in their face yesterday!
This is my argument in adding Tech
I know y’all want WKU, but seriously, in the west, LaTech would make an instant rival with all the teams in the Sunbelt West. Just look at it: Louisiana hates Tech, ULM hates Tech, Ark St. hates Tech, USM dislikes Tech, along with Troy and South Alabama. We pride ourselves on being a very regional, compact conference. The West would be as compact as you can get. Pretty much every school is about 3 hours away from each other, making the Sunbelt West a bus league. People want to see regional rivals, and LaTech is the most regional and hated rival out of all of them. I don’t think WKU moves the needle, but if Louisiana played Tech, or ULM, or USM, or Ark St., the fan interest for that game would jump up considerably.
Trust me, it is a hate-hate rivalry, which would make it fun.
The same reason why y'all do not want to add them is the reason why we should add them
I hope not. I think UL vs. Texas State could be an awesome rivalry in football, baseball and softball every year.
