How about a campus visit by politician, if more than 33 pct of students are wearing another school's gear, you get shutdown

Southeastern would be in trouble. Seriously, graduation rate should determine if a school should get shut down. It’s not a good ROI of taxes if we allow schools with low graduation rates to stay open.
UL, LA Tech, and LSU should be the only public FBS athletic programs in the state.
All others should be UL or LSU feeders.
McNeese - UL Lake Charles
NSU LA - UL Central LA
ULM - UL Monroe
SELU - UL Hammond
UNO - UL New Orleans
Consolidate resources and personnel.
State of Louisiana doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem and decades long spending priority problem. There's probably zero chance any State college campus is shuttered. Instead, at least target thinning out the bureaucracy of higher education at the system level and regionally at the campus level.
In 1929, Louisiana State had a $500,000 budget. Huey blew it up net 5 fold to $3,000,000 in 1930. Throw in building their stadium masquerading as dorms/housing (my dad was one of the early residents) Huey’s self serving kingdom set itself up in perpetuity.
