To answer my own question, I went on Wunderground.com. Winston-Salem forecast for tomorrow is partly cloudy with a high of 80° and 15% chance of rain. Doesn't appear they're catching the brunt of Helene the way Boone has.

A Sun Country Airlines Boeing 737-800 is scheduled for departure from Lafayette to Piedmont Triad Intl Airport (Greensboro, NC) at 3:10 PM. I'm going to guess this is the team flight.

All 3 of my grown children live in the Asheville area or in Spartanburg SC, None have power of course...My son lives in Asheville, the city along with the interstates 40 and 26 are closed...flooding is everywhere and many trees are down blocking roads. Biltmore Village is about 4 feet deep in water.

In Lake Lure (filmed Dirty Dancing, Last of the Mohicans there) the Lake Lure dam is about to break with water rushing over the tops and side of the dam.

Winston Salem is a 3 hour drive plus to the east, they just got some rain, game on...
