I wanted it to work for Des, but the reality is this was the most USL thing we could have done and the results show.
It didn’t bother me much being it was 5 point game.

Now, that 4th and 9 decision deep in our territory with +3:00 minutes really upset me. That, IMO, is unacceptable.

In the history of the game, there has never been a reward granted in the third quarter for sacrificing a point while pinning your hopes on the offense somehow kicking a field goal sometime in the next 25 minutes of play.

Playing for overtime early in the third quarter is a panic move.

Oklahoma just pretty much did that with over 5 minutes left . . .

It's a no brainer. Getting to a FG deficit or keeping it a TD deficit no matter if you go for o1 or 2 is easy. I mean, It's not even a decision

    . It's not panic. It's a no brainer.

100% agree. Going for 2 was the correct choice. Actually scoring 2 would have been betterer.

I agree with the no brainer part because it's obvious no thought was put into the decision.

It exposes the mindset that you are in panic mode, letting the opponent know without a doubt that you feel like you are playing catch up early in the third quarter.

    Advantage opponent.

JMU put 70 on their ACC opponent.

Our turn. WF is 15th (ACC) right now. Even canceled their away with Ole' Miss. Nows the best chance we'll get.

LOL we’re not gonna beat them either. Our level of competition remains to be in-state subdivision teams and the Kennesaw States of the world. We can’t win big games. Had about enough of this Desormeaux era Cajun Koolaid.

Then you run a real play if you’re serious about going for it. Not some gimmicky high school play when only two yards out.

The other team would not have thought it was panic because they would have done the exact same thing.
