Hubert 'Frenchie' Blanchard, Jr., SLI Bulldog, 1951-52, 1955-56- RIP

Hubert, a native of Assumption Parish, came to SLI on a football scholarship in 1951. Was drafted into the Army in 1953, served his country then returned to SLI in 1955, lettered and graduated. Was one of the founding members of the UL Alumni Assoc. Ragin Cajun Atlanta Chapter. In earlier days was president of the Letterman's Club in Lafayette. Hu was a fun guy to be around, loved his family and his alma mater. May he rest in peace.
