In this era of the supersized conference, many conference maps expanded now (SEC, SBC, B12, ACC, AAC, CUSA) having lower, middle, and upper south teams. The Conferences really need to unite and encourage TV network studio execs to avoid Aug/Sept midday TV kickoff times in those lower South locales. Its miserable for the teams and the fans and makes no common sense to force it. Some of the conferences listed even have a few have teams out west or in the northeast where with creative scheduling their home games can fill the noon and 3:30 p.m. TV windows in first month of the season. The SEC has the most clout of the bunch to at least lead the conversation. A united front is needed and creative scheduling. Surely they can create a committee to study avoidance of midday kickoff times in the lower South.
