  1. UL Football Green Wave escape the Cajun Field sauna thanks to two non-offensive touchdowns

The numbers didn’t add up for the UL Ragin’ Cajuns.

Tulane scored two touchdowns without the UL defense on the field and the Ragin’ Cajuns offense just didn’t have enough in the tank to counterpunch at sun-drenched Cajun Field. The result was a 41-33 road victory for the Green Wave on Saturday

Who would be in favor of a rule change that goes back to when turnovers were dead balls at the spot?

Would be interested in the numbers to see which team is more often the beneficiary of turnover returns for score

Cant think of any other sport where the defense can score... hockey maybe counts as a defensive score, when defenseman scores the goal, or a shorthanded penalty kill goal, but puck had to be led in to offensive zone onside

Again, you weren't there, how would you know. And now you're questioning UL beat writer Kevin Foote, who by the way was there ....

Not questioning anything at all. I didnt see any specific detail about the weather, that is a fact, nor should there be on the sports page, but after 1000 posts about it being too hot, seems the actual number of degrees would have appeared somewhere, as well as humidity percentage***** Nor do i hang on every word of any other posters, especially ones i claim i dont want to post. Grow the fan base by berating them all, great strategy.

Kevin's article in tomorrow's hard copy paper will deal on the decision to play the game at 11. It will also touch more on the factors that lead to a poor result. I think it is already up on the online version of the Acadiana Advocate. I found out today that there is a law in Arizona that prevents any college football game in that state from starting before 6 PM until after Oct. 1. That would be a way to prevent games from playing in dangerous conditions. We should push our legislators to consider the proposal.

What a novel idea. Legislators doing something to help people. That’s just got to be crazy talk.

It would actually stand a good chance at passing. LSU fans face the same problem as everyone else and they absolutely hate early games.
