Thread: NO WATER for YOU

I have some questions, but must point out the obvious first. It seems every single year the UL athletic department has a really big football game. Like the first real big game of the season on which the whole program will be judged the rest of the season on, they screw it up royally. SO my question is. Who does the department have supervising all of these game day operations? And, does this person ever appear at the tail gating & around the field before during & after the game to personally oversee the activities of ticketing, fan arrival, concession sales & just generally check on fans in the crowd to see how things are going & what improvements can be made both in real time & to continue to improve the game day atmosphere & services for the attendees? If there is, I've never met them. Why isn't there more accountability by the administration on these issues which always alienate the paying public usually at the worst possible time & always at the beginning of the season?

At a certain point, what continues to happen is what is desired to happen or the people in charge are simply don't care that it is happening.

There can be no other explanations for our recurring concessions fails.

A few years back, Sodexo posted the job for the position that runs concessions for UL. It was posted with a 35k salary. That is why it keeps happening. You get what you pay for.

If they had just had another 25,000 waters on hand during the game, the water purchases in the 2nd half, of a single game, could have paid for a quality person to run schit for a freaking year and therefore, further increases their revenue on future games.

Why would anyone want to do that though? ha

Sodexo should be printing money with the prices they charge.

Does the University or athletic program get a cut of concession sales at games?

Poverty pay for a great deal of responsibility. I can't imagine they got many good qualified manager type applicants.

The director of Auxillary services was at the game and was aware of the issues. I don't know if there is a lot he can do because of the contracts that are in place. His hands may be tied by the university

Perform for the pay you "want" not the pay your getting.

    No drive.

They (Maggard and company) don't care about you. They sat in their fan conditioned tent up there with all the water they wanted. Nothing will change. It's too late now.

Well the wheels on the bus go round and round, going down the road, no one ever owning or trying to fix a situation. AKA USL’ing it.

Same operation that oversees B&N, and the lack of monitoring the on line offerings about a year ago.
