Even if it was 18k- it still wouldn’t be nearly enough
Another example of how other schools communicate and handle similar situations:
☀️REMINDER : It’s gonna be hot on game day so Kyle Field is allowing fans to bring up to a gallon of an unopened plastic water bottle. @AggieFootball also has 187,000 water bottles available for purchase at the game. pic.twitter.com/mT2KIYNvpV

It's water, it has a long shelf life. Can't have too much. Regardless how many bottles were available, the fail is game crowd management. After the event info now out there that was obviously not communicated, be it on social media or announcements. We have all these positions in the department assigned about a year ago. Bottom line, WHO is responsible, WHO sacks up and takes responsibility? AND who is going to fix it. Being a satiracal old fart, what poor intern is getting blamed?
And just for S&Gs, thank goodness we were not broiling some student in a mascot uniform Saturday.
"The highest reported temperature on the field during the game was 138 degrees," Sullivan said. "During the game, there is free water which are two water tanks. Each tank is about 125 gallons each, which is equal to 1,000 16oz plastic water bottles."
Direct quote from our SID in which he does the math on the free water. This math comes out to 2,000 bottles. So our new stance on this situation is that our sports INFORMATION director gave bad information to the Advocate and even came up with a calculation to support the false information OR the journalist changed all the numbers in his calculation to fit 2,000 bottles of water instead of 6,000 and completely decided to disregard being told 17,000 bottles of water and wrote 6,000 just for shiggles.
I’m listening to “Ocean Front Property” right now in honor of anyone believing this.
You're working hard today.
The water jugs were re-filled twice during game. Something else left out from the article. The article was completely inadequate.
All I have been saying is that there was more than 6,000 bottles of water for sale (there was 17,000). And again, it was not enough.
Not sure if you think I am saying they did a good job or something; that is not the case. You seem unable to comprehend that.
