If it was up to UL coach Michael Desormeaux, the Ragin’ Cajuns and the Tulane Green Wave would play just about every season.
For now, both sides will enjoy an interesting showdown at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cajun Field.

So do I
Maggard thinks Kennesaw State at home is a better deal .....
Our schedule has been less than impressive OOC lately. But, there could be a method to this. Traditionally we’ve had a losing history, maybe we are seeing weaker schedules to build 10-15 years of winning tradition to change the perception locally and within the state/region.
We seem to be about halfway through this “theory”. Let’s hope it pays off.
MD is, right, every season would be great and the Tulane coach said why he said "WIN the State"
At this point, until the Ragin Cajun community buys into NIL and the absolute need to have a competitive robust program equal to or better then our conference piers, winning our conference will be a forgone conclusion.
speaking of future schedulin: We do in fact play:
vs. Tulane - 2024
@ LA Tech - 2026
@ Tulane - 2027
Vs LA Tech 2029
++++++
Props to Dr Maggard for scheduling these ahead.
Does unnamed conference rhyme with independent?
Louisiana
Louisiana Tech
Tulane
All 3 should agree to schedule each other every year on a perpetual home and home basis. We would have our own little in-state conference schedule. We could come up with a special trophy for the school that wins both games to never relinquish bragging rights as state champion until another school wins both games. lsu would be more than welcome to enter our in-state conference if they want.
If we are not going to schedule a home P4 game, this is the next best scheduling strategy. This would be VERY popular with each fan base and seen as a very good thing by the rest of the country.
