50 years ago, the Cajuns played Tulane in a game no one there will ever forget.

Louisiana students created a tunnel for the Cajuns to run out of in pregame and to start the second half at Tulane Stadium during that infamous 17-16 loss to the Green Wave on Sept. 14, 1974.

Besides what I read years later, I have no personal memory of this game.

I was 14 at the time.

I remember raising rabbits and entering a garden growing contest.

Bart Starr had retired when I was 11 but was still my favorite quarterback.

    Abbeville.

Archie was fun but the Saints weren't my favorite team yet.

I was still a Packers fan.

I was a Cowboys and Staubach fan. Didn't really start following the Saints until Bum got there.
