Would UL even consider joining a west coast conference although it would be a Power conference and likely our only shot at ever being in a Power conference.
Add to that if we beat Tulane, UL will be on the national radar. Might be a great time to pursue as our name might start to come up.

Which means if we beat Wake also and win the SBC we in the CFP. End up in top 25 for 3rd time in 5 years.

Everything is in front of UL football!

    Texas State, no.
    UTSA, yes.

It will be a LONG time before Tulane and/or Memphis are added to the ACC. If the ACC needs more schools, they will get yes answers from any of Cincinatti, West Virginia or UCF

Yall remember the MWC commissioner was trying to come up with a plan if we lost our playoff spot? Someone needs to pull that article. Obviously he knew about what was going to happen before it happen and all the G5 commissioners and each school were going to have a meeting about what they were going to do about the post season.

Well if that is the case what should the g5 do for post season if that is the case?

They about to create an East and West Division of the
Pac-12. Why only take 4 out west? Doesnt even make them viable. Because they going to find at least 6 more members that will be 12 members if not more.

CUSA will be dissolved when it gets raided by MWC! And that will leave those members to MAC, American, and Sunbelt to pick what MWC doesn’t want

I assume NMSU, UTEP, will definitely be going to MWC

Downside to UTSA is they have no facilities

Much higher ceiling than UTSA and just a better all around athletic program. I think NT is also in the PAC radar.

Boom…we are way too comfortable to do anything like that.

Yep. Also anyone notice what the Memphis basketball program is dealing with right now? Talk about the bad timing award.

Its conceivable the TV networks will tell the PAC to become a 3 time zone conference (Pacific, Mountain, and Central). Regional conferences are best for fans and student athletes, but the TV networks have the gold now, they make the rules. Everyone has their price. If potential TV payouts of $15MM (or pick a number) per school is possible, is that enough to get four central time zone schools like UL or Tulane interested?

That's the question. If we received an invite for an Eastern division of the PAC, would UL find the resources to accept?

I would think the PAC is going to revisit the Apple TV deal. They'll probably get the most money from them and have more control over scheduling and game times.

The resources are there. They always are. You just have to be willing to ask, and accept whatever agreements must be made to go along with those resources.

I just don't see any way an invite from them would be coming our way.
