Frustrating loss for Bobcats. Late mistakes (fumble and INT). Questionable play calling. Let that one get away.

Default South Alabama 87 NWST 10!

Dang. Thought it was a joke at first!

Midweek game on the + only. I’d run up the score too. Actually they only scored 7 in the 4th. I don’t know why this game
Wasn’t on espn2 or U. Or played Saturday.

Only had a 6 minute running clock in the 4th quarter.

How many 3s did South Al hit?

My first reaction was I thought it was too early in the season for a hoops game.

Remember NWST scrapped their season last year after an 0-6 start and the death of a player. Their coach resigned too. Clearly, they still have some issues.

But, midweek and all that. It's the best. Right?

Well, the coaches also have some say in scheduling. For instance, during Covid Billy Napier was asked if he wanted to play Army or UAB. Napier told Maggard, "hell no we are not playing Army". Recently under Coach Des, it was down to Wake Forest or Louisville. Des told Dr. Maggard, "no way we are playing Louisville.

All coaches have input on scheduling. See Men's Basketball.
