I’m in the keep it close camp. They have been tested twice and have looked really tough. While we’ve played no one and looked slugging to start until putting away inferior opponents.

Honestly think this will be a defining game for Dez and the community fan support of his tenure. We don’t have to win…but if we get embarrassed at home by Tulane, Maggard will need to start considering another option at HC.

I agree, he gets this team ready and we pull off the W, it can spring board his tenure. We will have a good crowd, hated rival and could be the game that sets the tone for the season.

We will have to get off to a great start. I just don’t know if we have the firepower to finish them off.

…..Speaking of Tulane games….had lunch with Augie Tamm, Sam Robertson, and Carl Tater Smith…..talked a bit about the game 50 years ago….this could be the biggie of all UL games ever…..a win keeps our playoff chances alive…..Geaux Cajuns!!!!

Watched Tulane play KSU and OU the last few weeks and they are a really good team….. Mensah is very talented, but makes some young man mistakes…. It think they have more talent than we do and I think they are better coached. If I had to make a prediction today I would say 33-20 Tulane wins next weekend. I still don’t think we are better than an 8-4 team at this point. Defense will be tested this week. O-line needs to be ready to handle the pressures. I think if we use the screen game we can hurt Tulane significantly.
