College football/conferences have exchanged long time fan traditions for the TV network $$. Money talks so we're playing at 11 a.m. on Saturday. No surprise, that's college football today and in the future. If our program rises back to 2021 levels, we'll be lucky to have three Saturday night games per season. Wasn't that many years ago we were excited to be on ESPN. Seems quaint now.
Last year DirecTV's main dispute was with Nexstar who owns 197 local tv stations around the country. Some NBC, fox , cbs etc. In Lafayette they own KLFY and they got cut off right around the beginning of football season too and it went on for quite a while. Yes an OTA antenna can get you around that for the most part but same annoyance
SCHEAUX UP AND BEAT THE WAVE ANYTIME ANY PLACE!
Don’t hate the 11 start. Better than 2:30 but not as good as 6-7. Reverse tailgate? With a high of only 88 the morning should be relatively pleasant for mimosas and Bloodys.
I expect a capacity crowd but that should not be used as gauge as to whether this is a good time for future* games.
*Unless they are evaluating future Thanksgiving Day games![]()
Just sack up. Anyway, there should be a rule in place for every ESPN contract that you get 1 veto a year. This is a ball breaker for attendance
