It's officially football weather. Never fails, Cajuns Football cranks up and life gets better. Weird.

Nice having a defensive coordinator that can make in game adjustments. That was fun. We rollin!
On to Tulane!! Concerns?
That freshman QB looked pretty damn good in his first ever FBS start. Yeah.he made that bonehead mistake play on the sack, fumble, scoop & score that allowed K-State to take the lead, but he'll learn from that. Sumrall is a good coach.
I hope our offense can put up >24 points, and I hope our defense and D-coordinator is ready. Need a loud Cajun Field to help.
We've got two weeks to prepare and hopefully get a couple guys healthy, and they've got OU on our bye weekend.
Last thoughts before I leave Jaw-Ja. Kennesaw is nice little town in North Atlanta but they got a lot of work to do before they can be a legit D1 program I don't know if they can accomplish what they want in that land of misfit toys that is Coosa. But then again I see why they fit.
Campus reminds me of North Texas with the school one side of the highway and the Stadium on the other side. But at least North Texas had some fan support. KSU has nice small soccer stadium that they can't even sell out. Yeah I know they listed 11k but really there were pockets of empty seats. Great students turnout but no alumni base it seems. That could be from only being founded in the 70s or something
Everyone kept saying how there was a buzz about it being their first FBS home game but I never saw it. I was Downtown Friday night and only saw one guy with a KSU apparel on. Saturday I was at local eat establishment and no one was wearing school color the hour and a half I was there. Not until I was about to leave did a big family show up with KSU gear on. This was about 5:30.
I get to the stadium and walk around a little and they do have a nice small tailgate. Ran into some young alum and none of them planned on going in. 15 guys all recent grads but they all wanted to stay in the parking lot and watch games on TV cause it was easier than driving to Athens. Lol
On the game itself I wasn't to concerned after watching the first drive. Yeah they scored but we completed shut down their run and they made some good plays on scramble and busted plays. We totally dominated on the both lines and I knew if we could keep moving the ball our D would still be fresh enough to make plays. Idk if that works against Tulane but KSU was completely overmatched. I do give them credit for playing hard all the way into the fourth.
Edit: I'm leaving my avatar up just to eff with that mullet guy for talk smack about my wolverines. LFG
What I love about this game is we were down a starter at offensive line, down our starting RB, what many consider to be our best wr only had 1 catch for 6 yards and we completely dominated on offense
Two staters on the OL, Williams and Harrington. Washington also did not play last night, so basically three starters on the offensive side of the football. Broussard was leveraged over the top, and he dropped a TD pass at the back of the endzone. The Cajuns have a number of playmakers that they can use from Bernard, Williams, Johnson, Carter, LeGendre, Davis and Perry. But there is only one football.
Overall, I thought our new DC came out a bit conservative playing Cover Two on KSU's long drive. Afterwards, he walked Lewis down in the box to help with the option and worked out of a 50 Front at times, which is the best defense to defend an option offense. After the first KSU drive, the Cajun Defense looked pretty good.
On offense, the KSU defense defended Broussard by bracketing him at times. But they couldn't do that and play man on Bernard successfully. Using Carter underneath and running the football on the stretch and up the middle wore their defense down. We played more physical in my opinion this week and took care of business.
