Reminder KSU was not good last year at the FCS level. So if we lose this game we will be in trouble for the rest of the year…. UL by 13

I didn’t say nor do I think we will lose but I also think we have to play well. They were preparing for this year by redshirting everyone. Last year doesn’t matter, last week does though and they certainly aren’t terrible.

One of the biggest questions was redshirting. Many veteran Owls have intact redshirt years, meaning they could sit out this year’s nine-game championship-less season and have an additional year of eligibility once Kennesaw State is an FBS program. Bohannon and the rest of the coaching staff must balance wanting to be competitive this season with having the best chance to win at the FBS level in 2024.

“If we can (redshirt them) and they’re willing, we’re going to do it this year,” Bohannon said. “Especially guys that we know moving forward can (help us) as we move into Conference USA. We’ve got several guys on our roster that are in that boat.”


So basically, they tanked last year.

These Bottom 10/25 articles are fluff pieces. Kennesaw State will give us their best, especially with this being their first FBS home game. Coach Des and staff need to have these guys focused. Defense needs to clean up the Week 1 mistakes. I hope we see more out of the rushing game this week.

Like everyone destroyed jmu? Georgia southern? App state? Those 3 teams went a combined 20-4 their first year in the conference and that was before transfer portal and no sitting out.

All of those teams were extremely successful FCS teams. I can't say I'm an expert on FCS but was Kennesaw even a decent FCS team?

They have only been playing football 9 years and already moved up. They have had 8-3,12-2,11-2,11-3,11-2 seasons in those 9 years and the same head coach the entire time.

Agree, but up to a point. That point is when your team is on the list. Then it sucks.

They gave UTSA all they wanted last week on the road. We are going to have to earn this victory.

Too lazy to go back and research, but there are too many teams that have us in their record books as first “big” school victory.
So I’ll just be happy with a win and no injuries.
