The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team used its frontline defense to turn away Murray State and rally for a 3-2 (29-27, 18-25, 20-25, 25-18, 15-9) win on Saturday, August 31 at E.K. Long Gym, breaking into the win column in the 2024 season.

Was there today and I’m not a volleyball person. Looks like some communication issues at times. Plus it appears we have some injuries. Also, 4 for UTA is 6’6” and can dominate.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team was involved in a defensive slugfest with UT Arlington on Sunday, September 1 at E.K. Long Gym and it was the visiting Mavericks who emerged with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-17) victory in the finale of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic.

There is one GREAT player, Mio Yamamoto, but she cannot do it alone. There was no "setting", no blocks. The serving was pretty good, but they did not play well at all. There was a very nice crowd. The cheerleaders didn't really add to the atmosphere, but they were there. The cheerleaders and the team seemed to be "somewhere else." The coaches have a lot of work to do.

There was a long line for concessions and they only took cards.
