Agreed, but the true powerhouses will be the ones that integrate NIL wisely without giving too much power to the alumni. Spending money on 'great players', but they aren't necessarily in tune with what the HC wants is doomed to fail.

I personally think that with the season as long as it will be now, it makes more sense to spread money out to a lot of players and build really quality depth versus a very top heavy roster that could be an injury or two away from disaster.

If you have the money to do both, then great, but those will be few and far between.

Yea, the Florida Gators would be considered one of those superpowers also. Large Endowment and a gazillion graduates. Except Gator power it is not working there and A&M is struggling with it also.

The Aggies have a long history of not figuring it out. The Gators absolutely need a strong AD. That alumni base is as ‘hands-on’ as any in the country, AND the in-state competition for talent is ridiculous.

For $28M, this will be in the lawyers hands for years.

Also, I wonder if Florida does that, does Sexton retaliate by holding out clients from interviews. Dude represents all the big name coaches, he could attempt to freeze out schools.
